Gday guys, i have a quad with douglas Ali rims on but over the years the Ali is starting to become rather stained especially on the rear from a few boggy situations, just wondering if anyone knows the best way of cleaning them up without taking them to a polisher.
Cheers n beers

Good truckwash. And then lots of tootpaste and elbow grease....
And then you'll have the best looking stone chips in town!

Dino has pretty well covered it but ALUBRITE is good to use to make them bright again but will still need to be polished

If they were a polished rim it shouldn't take much to bring them back up. I've done a fair few aluminium bus bars and we washed them with an acid stuff called alum-bright, and that cleaned them up, took all the crap off them and took them back to a standard aluminum looking finish. Then I used Purple Polish and just did it by hand with a rag and they came up really well. Purple Polish is really good stuff, a bit pricey but you use bugger all and it is worth it.
