 |
|
Gday guys, i have a quad with douglas Ali rims on but over the years the Ali is starting to become rather stained especially on the rear from a few boggy situations, just wondering if anyone knows the best way of cleaning them up without taking them to a polisher.
Cheers n beers

Good truckwash. And then lots of tootpaste and elbow grease....
And then you'll have the best looking stone chips in town! _________________ Remember. We elect politicians, but we have to deal with bureaucracy.

If they were a polished rim it shouldn't take much to bring them back up. I've done a fair few aluminium bus bars and we washed them with an acid stuff called alum-bright, and that cleaned them up, took all the crap off them and took them back to a standard aluminum looking finish. Then I used Purple Polish and just did it by hand with a rag and they came up really well. Purple Polish is really good stuff, a bit pricey but you use bugger all and it is worth it. _________________ "If in doubt go flat out"
