A Bead breaker would easier and safer, good idea I supose if you havnt got one,

We use to have a plank and just ran the 4x4 up and down it wilst rotating the tyre.

I've seem people break the rim instead of the bead lol

I'd like to see that How to is a question i see asked all the time so i thought I'd do the video also it's something i think my girl should know rather than to rely on a "man" to do things like this

Usually done with a tyre fitting machine when feeding the tyre off the rim.

I like your idea, means you dont need a bead breaker yet wont damage any steel belted tyres.

I've used a vehicle to break a 4 wheel drive tyre bead in the bush, should work for a quad also in a pinch.

The biggest risk of this is damaging the internal structure of the tyre especially if it has a steel belt which is why it should only been done in the bush with limited tools
