i need some info on stroking my banshee. i can get a wiseco kit from the states for $850.00 pistons, rings, crank, seals, spacer etc. but im not sure if thats all i need, im thinking carbs and pipes?? if so, whats the best ones to get.

you dont need anything else but to get the best out of it your standard barrels could really use some adjustments to the port timing to compensate for the stroking of the engine.

If you still have standard pipes then go aftermarket before spending money on engine internals

i agree with bansheebuzz, get some bolt on's (if your bike is standard) eg pipes (dmc aliens/916s top end or pro circuit if you want low down), timing plate, head (shave it 20-25 thou), port job, and carbs before you look at stroking.

but if you want to stroke it anyways dont go with the spacer plate, go with a cool head that you can put adjustable dome in, designed for that crank (stroker domes)

yes buy the hole kit and 38mm carbs and a good set of pipes like T6 it will go well.

thanks for the advice. i think ill get the kit and go for the carbs and pipes aswell. should be abit more fun Smile as for buying that 10mil engine, ide rather build my own engine, and i think its abit much lol.

yes buy the hole kit and 38mm carbs and a good set of pipes like T6 it will go well.

i wouldnt buy that kit. spacer plates are a bad idea. it will mess the port timings up.

the only way to do it properly is to port it to suit, and with a cool head with stroker domes.

if your quad is stock at the moment, i suggest you follow the proven method of modification as outlined in this thread:

so wehn you say "stroker domes" how do you mean?? ive found a cool head and 22cc domes or 17cc domes for $150. is that what they are?? thanks.
