This company has been operating here for several years.Only now is there a problem."Quads screaming past" ,yeah right,i think they all have standard put-put mufflers on,not open race exhausts!!But 45 metres from the boundary might be a bit close!! the fun police strike again!

it all comes down to the media and how you aproach them
" local residents OUT to destroy local business threating jobs and tourist dllars..."
Half that story was written by the protesters, years ago when i used aproach newspapers for articles on matters for work, we used to prepare half the story for them, they polished it up and printed it. Has anyone actually compared these local rags to to a major daily, not much going down exect for a cake compettition, so when they get a story dropped on their lap, its manar from heaven, maybe this bloke should have asked for a right of reply... I would of. _________________ 2005 KFX700

I agree fully Yogie.
That is a pretty standard example of lazy journalism.
The reporting "paper" ( the Gold Coast Bulletin. ) is much bigger than the narrowness of that article would imply.
But the GC bulletin is not afraid of a dramatic headline OR quoting out of context..........
If a topic is hot enough, "right of reply" is available.
And the perception of the the people ready to jump on any bandwagon is not at all hindered by all the facts, again.

Gazman. Your comments are spot on. That little company have turned a lot of tourists onto quad riding, and the right way to start doing it.
The company has agreed to shift the annoying track, and have in excess of the required monitoring in place.
The noise police have been and gone. No case.
Hopefully the council will back the business, or Yogies alternate headline might be a reality. _________________ Remember. We elect politicians, but we have to deal with bureaucracy.
