The australian ATV community has lost one of it cofounders. Mark Beechey lost his battle to cancer late last nite at a young age of 52. The man had a huge influence with quad race here in oz and a had true passion for motorcycling, and father to one of australia Fasters atv rides Luke .
To Luke, Bec and Charlotte and the rest of the beechey Family we are here for you guys and thinking about you at this sad time.

Very sad news. Didn't know Mark, but knew of Luke and his achievements. Obviously like any son, his achievements are a credit to his upbringing.
Prayers go out to the family. _________________ Don't close your eyes during the crash, you'll miss the best part |

Very sad news.
Although I hadn't seen him in a couple of years he was a good mate of mine and I have alot to thank him for. I would never have got into quad racing if it wasn't for old Grumpy Guts. He not only helped me get into it but showed us all how to build proper race bike too. He even once tried to teach me how to act like a professional racer untill he gave in and said nah that just too hard.
My heart goes out to Luke, Bek and the rest of their family in this tough time.
Keep riding that massive trails bike park in the sky old mate _________________ Smitty |

Among a few hundred other important values that Mark brought to our sport...
He was also the founder of Jumbos.
Thanks Mark.

The original Quadfather. You will be missed mate.
Few people know just how much he did for the sport back in the early days. I am pretty sure I wouldn't still be involved in Quads if it wasn't for Mark (so now you know who to blame). Now he was a guy who could make things happen, and like it or not, if he believed in something, it was gonna happen!
I will be there to say my goodbye's with you Luke.

from the QRCV
| Quote: |
Mark instigated the start of the Victorian Quad Club and was renowned for pulling up to empty paddocks and making the most amazing flat tracks that all members loved to race on. Mark also started the first ATV MX Nationals, which was widely attended by interstate rides and Tim Farr from the USA.
Marks other talent was his involvement in Trials where he was a champion outright with many trophies to his name.
Mark is the only QRCV Life Member and will be sorely missed by all.
Condolences to all the Beechey family from all the QRCV. |

Just a thought....
It is sad but look at all the greatness he gave and possitives, should we not return that gratatude at least to his favourate club, how many forum members do we have, cause when things like this happen we tend to band together no matter the distance, how about a fund to help throw back the help. _________________ 04 Polaris Predator 500 with mods
