Just got word that I should get to throw a leg over the new KTM 525 powered POLARIS OUTLAW in a week or so! Not many around yet so I can't wait. Has anyone riden one yet? I would like to know what you think.

Sorry to hear you had a bad run with Polaris.
I have raced a Predator for two years straight now, pre ran and raced two Finke Desert races, raced all the SA Mx rounds and the SA enduro rounds and also raced national MX with out problems. The only problem I did have was caused by a aftermarket ignition system. The thing has even got the standard axle in it. There are a lot of farmers around here who run POLARIS utility quads and think they are the best quads out. I'm not saying that Polaris quads are perfect, I don't think ANY quad is perfect, but it sounds to me like you just had some real bad luck. I could list a heap of mates who have bought Japaneese quads with major problems, but I don't think that would be doing any one any favours.

i agree with you raptor rider, and you know i seen the two bikes you are talking about and it is very disappointing when you buy a new bike thats is supposed to be the latest and greatest and its exsessive front end movement and play and it cluncks when you hit small ruts and we havent got to the sportsman yet. but who cares nobody until you right the truth on a forum

| suttos getting one this week,pre production for the mags to tire out.hope to get it for a ride ?. Got a 04 preditor & flogged its ass off over 130 hours on it with out touching inside the motor,just lost 3rd gear last week at oran park..dyno last week and got 49.5 hp with just filter,pipe,cdi. |

Cool. I rode my Predator lots and when we checked the valves just before the nationals, they were at factory specs with no signs of wear. Gotta love a quad you don't have to do much to.

I'm looking forward to hearing your review of the KTM 525 POWERED OUTLAW, as well as any other quads others have the chance to trial as they come to market.
OZATV will be hopefully changing soon to incorporate articles like reviews, etc, so if you have the chance to write some stuff up in the future, we'll hopefully be able to put it up on the site.
Ideally, we're aiming to also get some of the manufacturers and distributors involved in both advertising on the site, as well as potentially organising test ride days at some point.

Will find out soon enough. Just picked up 525 outlaw tonight. Give me a chance to run her in then I will get out and line her up against some mates quads to see how it compares.
