hi guys i am new to this site and don't have a sxs yet but after seeing some youtube footage i have decided against building my comp truck and am looking at the rzr's. i live on the gold coast with a lot of 4x4 parks within 2hrs. does anyone know which ones allow these machines? do you need rec rego to go there? and are there any comps on where i can come down for a chat and see them in action? i am heading to the coopers rally at landcruiser park on the weekend is anyone going there? laughing

Hey Mad Dog - There was a lot of talk last month about having UTV's compete in winch challenges and we were looking at competing with them at round 2 which was going to be held in Rockhampton however, this round was moved to Buedesert in August. The Vic blokes have seemed have grabbed the bull by the horns and have had a number of events for these things now.
I would be keen to compete in the events that they have at Landcruiser park like the rally cross etc.

Cheers
Chris

the organisers of the Winch Truck Challenges are keen to get a class set up for these things so they will have 4 or more comps to compete in around the cq area next year, but they are waiting for ccda and cams to finalise the rules and regulations for SxS racing so that all organisers can use the same rules and know that they can get the best insurance possible,

so at this stage i am personally holding off on purchasing one, and going to look into getting a 2011 model when they are released at the end of this year or early next year, atm there are three or four people in cq looking to do a group buy on the 2011 model once they are released,

Keen to know how CAMS are involved and who, because we really want to get a classification all of our own to get the SXS class of vehicles into all sorts of racing and give ourselves the maximum oppotunity for participation.

mad_dog, we have taken our Revolts to Manar, Glendon & Rover Park, all not to far from gold coast/brisbane. Dont need any sort of rego to run at these places & all are great places for buggies.
Heres some video footage
the 1st one is at Rover Park 2 weeks ago.
