Know how youre feeling, we got done over last week as well, but luckily they left the quads But still took the helmets, goggles, boots etc as well as a heap of other household gear. Our insurance company are gonna cover our helmets & other riding gear though. Scary thing is they took a spare key for my TRX I' m concerned theyre gonna come back for it. Alarm man comes next week thank god.

Thanks Aussieduner and Sicmic.

Hey Priesty, i think we are going to have some major changes aswell as they now know whats here, and i have a feeling they didnt know, because they rode the 2 quads away.

BUT UPDATE............1 QUAD HAS BEEN FOUND, UNFORTUNATLY A 14 YR OLD GIRL IS IN A SERIOUS CONDITION AFTER BEING HIT BY THE QUAD. POLICE SAID WE WONT GET THE QUAD BACK NOW AS THIS HAS TURNED INTO A MUCH MORE SERIOUS OFFENCE AND NEED THE QUAD FOR INVESTIGATIONS.

GIRL INJURED AFTER FAIL-TO-STOP QUADBIKE COLLISION – QUAKERS HILL

Thursday 1 March 2007

Police are appealing for information after a 14-year-old girl was seriously injured when she was hit by a quad bike at Quakers Hill yesterday.

About 4.30pm a 14-year-old girl and 14-year-old boy, both from Quakers Hill were walking in a laneway leading from Grady Street and towards Quakers Parkway.

As the 14-year-old girl entered the footpath a small unregistered orange coloured quad bike has driven past narrowly missing the girl. Believing the footpath was clear the girl then stepped into the path of a second orange quad bike.

The quad bike collided heavily with the girl and her head impacted heavily with the footpath. Neither of the orange quad bike riders stopped after the collision.

The 14-year-old boy assisted the young girl who was first taken to a local medical centre before being conveyed to Westmead Children’s Hospital where it was determined she had bleeding to the brain and a fractured skull.

The girl remains in serious but stable condition in hospital.

One orange quad bike was recovered in Knox Road Doonside shortly after the collision and was seized for forensic examination.

Two quad bikes similar to those described in the crash were seen on Sunnyholt Road Parklea prior to the collision and near Nurragingy Reserve Doonside shortly after the crash.

Officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit are continuing their inquiries and appealing for anyone who may have seen the quad bikes in the vicinity of Nurragingy Reserve or Sunnyholt Road to contact Quakers Hill Local Area Command on 9678 8999, the Crash Investigation Unit on 9689 7370 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

All the reports forget to mention that the quad bikes were stolen a hour and half before the accident.

as u can c this is a terrible turn of events for all involved & once "again" this will be another kick to the testicles for our sport & because of a couple of peckerheads this is "again" more negative feedback for ATV's. TODD i was wondering about that, why it wasnt stated in the report that the two bikes in question were stolen. The public backlash from this wont be good & gaining exceptence of atv's will take a step back for sure & its riders like ourselves that pay the price.. what is the latest on the girls condition?

The officer told me last night that the girl is now concious and talking, she does appear to have memory loss, but is looking OK for her.

From all the reports, it looks like these pecker heads rode the quads on the road/footpath all the way to doonside. To someone who doesnt know the area, that takes me about 40 minutes in a car. They filled up from my jerry can before they took off.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck Todd,

I hope that the girl has a full recovery.

It really pisses me off when I hear about people stealing ATVs, because we all know that insurance companies like to wash their hands of us, and then the f%@kwits who nicked them go and do that. Just another pineapple for our sport.

I hope they choke on their own eyeballs, mo$#erf*&krs
