Hey Mat.
should be in the same boat as you soon i hope... going to be purchasing a new rap.700 very soon.
Have you joined the QRASA ???
May be able to hook up down the track for some riding.
Enjoy the raptor mate.

not yet man as i olny new to quad riding/racing
dunno what benifit being a member has to offer unless i was going to adelaide every weekend i all ready 400km away most of their enduros seem south of adelaide knowing my luck the races will fall on my short weekend (shift pattern change) not my rosterd days off. If qrsa mx events are going to be a yearly thing in whyalla then i will be deffinatly riding, i was considering going to crystal brook race to have a look on way back from nirtro circus but that got moved to renmark, would ride there 2 if i had pleanty of notice. thinking about that thumb pump 300 next year, and if there any more enduro at baroota i will deffinately b there with bells on.
from what i seen not too many people race raptors probally cause 450s r better 4 mx just curious how tha 700 goes aganst other bikes that all
i hope to meet u all in person at events to chat and catch up Smile
cheers matt

How does the +3 front go mate ... much difference in corner stability?? worth the money???
I see your starting to bomb the beast with mods...

My raptor has been posponed due to a lack of work at the moment otherwise i wouldve purchased one two weeks ago ... should pickup again soon (self employed).
The enduro's do sound good, so do the QRASA camp aways... Im sure opurtunities will come up if you keep your ear to the ground on here.

hell yeah
the +3 front a arm, the +4 rear, fox shocks was the set up that dom at hustler atv reccomended Cool , also i have rear lowering linkage that can lower rear nother 4 inch 4 flat track/speedway (havent tried) but no tippiness feeling when practing on our practice speedway track can control slides with the throttle which has given more comfidence back now as b4 i wasnt riding hard cause of the feel of bike when it was standard. i know more when i do mx in a few weeks but it practice on our bush track 4 now
hope u get ur bike soon, i hated having to wait 4 mine to be released 3 month wait Mad
cheers matt

Just wondering if some times you wish you got a yfz450r instead and had corner stability etc. out the box.... thats what i keep thinking about ..
I want the big 700 thumper...but also want the cornering ability and handling characteristics that your modifications wouldve obviously given, but they do come at a cost !!!
were as a 450R has these pretty much covered from factory.
The raptor does just seems the way to go though.. lazy horse pwr. good motor longevity... good bottom end and midrange pwr.

What are your thoughts mate as you have obviously already walked this road..... make the same choices if you had to do it again????

Cheers.

when i first looked into the raptor the 450 was reccomended 4 $13000,the raptor was $13800 so i seen bigger CC 4 $800 more with feul injection and reverse ( cause i had a habbit of parking my old bike in salt bushes) i didnt have in mind racing i was only thinking of bush and dunes riding. i also looked at ktm 505 $17k and 525xc $15k eek .
so i had a few forks in my quad track i could of went down but am happy with my choice, spend any more and i b divorced Rolls eyes
cheers matt
