big deal, the kid couldnt even string a sentence together either !

you have to remember that the jump jamie did was really a warm up jump and jamie said he asked for the ramp to be pulled back so he could increase his 'length' so to speak but the promotor only gave him 1 jump.
jamie can you clarify?

jamie did say however that if given the opportunity then he would have jumped alot further.

To the kids defence he obviously left school at a young age to persue his ATV jumping and public speaking career.

Laughing that's true dog Laughing , I don't think he'll be wearing the crown just yet , he's got guts but I wonder how he'd cope jumping that distance and have an A-arm drop Cool that is when you gotta be a quick thinker , and if i am not mistaken I think 200 foot has been done already.

But you guys have to remember that when you jump from ramp to dirt you can start smallish and then move it out to a huge distance. Jumping dirt to dirt is do or die, no warm up jump or anything, just hit it and hope. Gotta give the guy some credit for having the guts to do it. Even if he cant speak properly. Razz

For sure anyone jumping a gap that big has got huge kahoona's Cool , no way I will ever experience a jump that big either so I gotta give him credit , he just didn't seem confident enough to hold it together to do it in front of a crowd of screaming fans , more nuts than guts I say.

Hey "Foursmax" .........I recon that if you or I had just pulled off a jump like that we would not be able to speak properly either !!!!!!!!!!!!
I also know that I would'nt be able to walk properly either because of the huge amount of s#@t in my pants !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats awesome! and he deserves credit firstly for holding it together and having the nuts to do 160ft dirt to dirt, not sure about the measuring device though, tapes tend to dangle quite a bit over a long distance and can easily add 10 or more feet. They certainly can't be used in Guiness World Record situations.
I gotta say though my world record jump was too easy for my liking, I argued to get the ramp pulled back another 20 feet and the promoters wouldn't be in it I even got on the mike and got the crowd drummed up for more and still to no avail. I've gone 170 at black duck and my bike had nothing more left in it, i was lifting with all my force off the ramp to get that distance. Gearing and tyre size will fix that.
Don't worry lads I'll be back with avengence, it's just i got shafted last time and it makes you question risking your life so as other people can make money off your success.
I've got some awesome jumps in my mind but getting the support and time to do these things is another matter. For now though the 130 at black duck satisfies my needs even though it's a shorter distance it's got one hell of a kick!

excuse me oh lord of all quads, im sure jamie doesnt have a set of leathers to wear , would you have a spare set for a 6'3 tall lanky cattle farmer lying around ? i reckon this is all that is holding him back at this stage, once we trick him into having a taste of supermoto we'll have him hooked !!
