hellow to all / new to quad biking and love it .
have a second hand honda 04 mod fourtrax 400, auto tranny .
have a problem with oil leak from rear of engine behind recoil starter.
i replaced the switch under the pull starter , still leaked , pulled the cover off and replaced the seal behind the shaft which the starter locks on to when pulled and fitted a new gasket as well .
noticed yesterday oil still leaking from around same spot,
pulled the recoil starter cover off and doesn;t appear to be leaking oil in side from the seal or from gasket , switch looks dry , so bugger me , has anyone got any idea how to fix please.
the amount of oil leaking should be noticable inside the cover but not hapenning, looks like oil is coming out of the hole in the bottom of the recoil cover , the sump plug is clean and dry , no other sighns of oil from anywhere else just the stupid cover. |
