Mate my first guess would be either flywheel nut or clutch nut loose.Could be alot of things but yeh deff somethin goin on there.could be little end or big ends but id reckon my first suggestion.just my guess, find it before you ride it.

sounds just like mine, if it is then its your reed valves opening and closing, mine only started makeing the noise after crank and port work, been like it for years. I though something was wrong when i put it back together, took me a while to work it out but it was the reeds, nothing wrong with them

yeah sounds pretty normal to me.

judging by all the dirt in your intakes in your other pics, your reeds might be starting to wear. get some replacement carbon tech reeds or similar and see how it goes then.

good to hear its normal.. bit of a relief.
ill look at getting new ones soon.

as you can see in the video, i have reed spacers, do they make a difference in performance or have any effect? whats the purpose of the reed spacers?

just as a disclaimer lol I would like to say that it sounds as normal as it can on the video. pretty hard to diagnose something like that without listening to it in person. if its not coming from the clutch side then theres a very good chance thats it not a loose nut or something floating around, as there are not many moving parts on the flywheel side. if the flywheel nut came loose you'd know about it!

judging by the amount of dirt your engine has sucked, i wouldnt be surprised if everything (big ends, little ends, main bearings, rings etc) was worn a little more than it should be... but the only way you are going to know that is if you tear it down and measure it all, and if you do that you might as well rebuild.

can you do a compression test? how old is the bike? have you ever rebuilt it?

reed spacers: short story is they dont do much. long story is... do a search lol its on here somewhere

ill be able to get a compression tester this weekend from a mate.
the bike is 2000 model, ive had it for one year now, and havnt rebuilt it yet. when i removed the pipes the other day, i looked at both the pistons and barrels, they looked very shinny and no black spots. but thats only one side of the piston and barrels.
