Hi Folks, I just bought my girl a Raptor 700 can I get away with pulling the spark Arrester out and removing the air box lid with out a fuel controller can this be done safley with out it running to lean. Does the black box have enough adjustment to compensate.

Keep an eye on the spark plug. You can always whack the airbox lid back on if she runs too lean. The jury is still out on the fuel adjustments available through the pod as far as I am aware.

it should be enough to compensate ive tried both and it worked fine i now have the lid on but with sports filter and a hmf muffler with all fuel settings done by the computer on the dash and it runs fine.

I suggest keep it stock or just keep the spark plug system stock for better performance.
