3 places the old man use to take me, Amaroo Park gone, Oran Park gone, Parramatta speed way wont be long.

Where do I take my kids ??? Looks like they dont have an option but to site and play xbox,Ps2,WII games of racing.

a lot of history that has gone from that track, i rated this as my favourite track. its a shame when this has to happen, can still picture the old group c touring cars going around it.

I can rememner the XU 1's, SLR 5000's, the first Brock Commodes, the Hardtop and Phase III falcs. And the monster trucks.....
I raced there 3 times. It was a technical track, if you got it right, it was beautiful. Get it wrong, it was OMG! ....the grass or the wall?
The smell of burning rubber will be back when the houses are up....

Its sad to see pics like that. I used to go to Newcastle Speedway to watch the racing and the Burnouts on the burnout pad they had in the centre of the infield.... not anymore... Its not there nowadays.

Thats a sad sight to see ... If Parramtta Speedway finishes up I hope they find another spot to set up again..Thats the home of sprintcar racing

Some one should start a motor sports lobby group. That is the only way to get the attention of the government who seem to be anti motorsports these days. I really don't blame the street drag racers and street drifters. They are left no choice.

I shuttered when I saw the pics, I guesse we all knew it was happaning, but to see it,

Illegal drag racing, drifting, burnouts. Sounds familar is it any diffrent than what most off us have to do just so we can have a ride.

The govt.....hmmm ...... we all will still buy bikes, performance parts and they will continue to take there cut of the sale in taxes but provide little to no support for our sport,

I have been involved with Blacktown Council, and they have been lobbing for 4-5 years now for additions to the eastern creek raceway in the form of a Motor Sport Parkland. So there are people on our side.

Im sorry that your offended but i made no mention of disliking anyone with a different colour, creed or religion.....thats not my thing and im offended you think im a racist which i am not ! i have many close friends from different countries, good people !
As a moderator i would remove any racist comment we dont need that garbage here but my comment was based on the high number of illegals arriving to this country ( read the paper its at its highest level ever )expecting things like housing, medical treatment and money for free when you and i and most other legal residents pay for it in our high taxes.

Back to topic its a damn shame that track is now gone, i loved going there to watch the big bangers go around back in the group C days.

There was mention of the track and the housing development on Today/Tonite last nite and the skyrocketing price of houses. Apparently this development will have 15,000 homes and house 45,000 people... possible illegals even.
