Hello all,
By now most of you should have seen this letter from the NQAC of MA.
It has been distributed though SCB's to clubs and on from there.
I thought i would throw it on here to help capture anyone else interested.
Do not post any ideas, points or issues on OZatv expecting any result.
Please input back through your local quad club or e-mail the MA address as detailed in the letter bellow.
National Quad Advisory Committee to Motorcycling Australia.
Call for input to 2011 GCR’s.
Each year MA invites all MA license holders to input to the GCR’s for the following year. These are our rules, so if there is anything in there that is not spot on, then it is up to us to suggest something better.
The Quad section of the rule book is only very small and has generally only been reactively added to by some dedicated people involved in the early days of Australian quad racing.
With much greater numbers of people involved and joining every day, our sport is experiencing change with growth. It is most likely that the format and some details within the current GCR’s might not best represent the ideal future for quad sport in Australia.
In short our rules could probably do with a comprehensive going over with future sport development and growth in mind.
Your NQAC would like to undertake this project with help from everyone involved in Australian quad sport.
‘All’ suggestions for new or improved rules will be put on the table and considered with other factors such as best sport promotion and community interests.
To aid collation, suggestions should initially be presented in short dot point format; Detailed interpretation should be avoided in the first instance and will largely not be necessary because Committee members are all very experienced quad industry people.
Suggestions will be accepted until the 28th March 2010 and should be sent to:
Your local State Controlling Body who will pass them to MA, or direct to MA via ross@ma.org.au
The NQAC will research input suggestions to form a final redraft of the quad GCR’s for forwarding to the Board of MA with extensive supporting material. The standard MA consideration process will apply from the 14th April 2010.
Suggestions need to be via e-mail address above.
Please make the most of this opportunity to have your say.
National Quad Advisory Committee.

It's MA matey.
Motorcycling Australia.
The NQAC will listen to all inputs and consolidate them to pass them up to MA as recommendations.
From there MA staff and any relevant Commissions might throw 2cents in on the way to the Board of MA for any final decision and inclusion in our future GCR's.
Same process every year, just with a bit of a spring clean and sharpen up in mind. _________________ Can-Am X Team

Hi, my only thought was to bump the four stroke capacity from 110cc to 125cc for juniors. This way the four strokes will have a better go against the 2 strokes. This would then give a great trail machine as well as a competive race machine.
Some of the pitbike web sites are getting 18-19 hp [dyno] out of there 125cc .
This would make a trx90 competitive with an apex or cobra.
Something to think about!!!!! _________________ 06 700 raptor 50th anniversary |

trx90 could never be competitive with a cobra unless the get the crf150r motors in them, but yeah it would help even things up a bit against the 2 strokes |

Hey Jono, yeah it would be good to put a bit of pressure on the cobra's to force them into making a mistake / crash. That's the only way a four stroke could win .
thanks scotty. _________________ 06 700 raptor 50th anniversary |
