hey guys .. Ryan from tassie here with my first post!! woo

Ive attached a pic of a Honda quad.. we are trying to work out the year an model.. I'm thinking of buying it to do up, an i cant get down to view it in person!
all we know is that its 300cc, electric start.
hope you can help

If it's off a farm, especially a dairy farm, I'd have a good think about it. It looks from the front end that it's a 2wd model.

It looks like it's about a 1995 to 2000 model so its got a bit of age about it and would probably need a lot of work. Cow poo and quad bikes don't mix well.

But hey, if your a good tinkerer go for it.

P.S. A mate of mine has a 1998 Honda 300 4wd which he's had for 10 years. He changed the oil and spark plug for the first time a couple of months ago.

flip it up on its end and have a good look at the frame most old 300 big reds ive seen that have came off farms ect are very rusty on the two rails that run under the motor

Those big reds are awesome bikes. A few of my mates have them and they go on and on. They will go nearly anywhere as long as you are game enough.

500 is a good price for that. Even if you have to spend another 500 or even 1000 on it you will have an awesome trail / work / bush bike that you won't lose money on and will give you heaps of fun and won't need an oil change every 5 hours.
