If you are serious about racing this machine, you need to have factory backing or a very large bank account. With plenty of money spent on them, they have proven to be very capable in the right hands. They have won the baja 1000, 500 and 250 + the San Felipe 250 in the first year of entering. If you want to know how to get them to hop, you need to make contact with Wayne Matlock and his team. They have done all the R&D together with Honda's factory racing team in the states. They have gone through just about every aftermarket brand to find what works on the 700xx so I would say that they have the credentials to be the "go to guys"
I would like to put one myth to bed, anyone who cannot make an IRS quad slide the rear, needs to have riding lessons!!! _________________ Its not if you win or lose but how you enjoyed the ride! |

i think the IRS is a great machine, on what ever bike you ride, whether its a utility sport quad or honda 700xx or our outlaw IRS, these are great machines and i am going just as fast around a mx track on my IRS than i did on a straight axle. _________________ 2012 sponsors, Working on it. |

Hey Roycroft,
I believe joe byrd was able to fly around the mx track on his 700xx up in darwin, It would be great to see the irs raced in mx are you going to be using it in some mx races this year ?.
like they say its 80% rider and 20% quad. _________________ hustleratv.com.au 0407 797 780

hey dude
yeah i will be using a 525 IRS in all MX upto prob around the state and national titles time, where i might race my 450, the reason behind that is that i have 2 IRS and i don't feel the need to get a 450 as the IRS is so much fun for the majority of training i do.
and that the IRS is proving to be quicker than a straight axle around my practice track so i can't complain.
we will see in the Tri State how the IRS handles it, should be good though.
as I say IT'S THE RIDER not the bike.
Rob will be riding the 450 MXR's all year as is the MX dude for us. but he loves the IRS and if any track gets really rough i will prob switch to the IRS for the day. _________________ 2012 sponsors, Working on it. |
