| spose having higher bend bars would save you buying a taller steering stem. All depends on your riding style i tend to stand up alot so want taller bars or same bars with taller stem. |

Likewise with the standing thing, taller bars also mean you can get your weight back further and also move around on the quad a bit easier.

Hey Shawn ,
Im with Pete on the bend !
The bend/hieght/width can protect your wrists...if the sweep is too much your wrists are in an akward position and injury can occur . The wider the better IMHO as more leverage the less effort required to steer the Quad .On the Honda I Run a total of 4 inches taller than standard (Stem and Bars)so you sit in the Quad rather than on top and gives you a better feeling of control,most Quad brands are too low for racing and should be the one of the first things to consider. _________________ Cheers

just recently changed to {don't laugh}
Pro-Taper XR 50 pit bike high bars
6'3" and have to stand-up a fair bit on the tracks ova here
the bend feels pretty flat and natural
there about 40mm overall thinner width than most bars, and if anything, don't feel as if I'm stretching as far to the outside grip when swingin into a corner.
jumped on a couple of mates bikes recently and felt really arkward.TAG ATV high bend
{that's actually how we're learning and changing our suspension recently,,, swapping with mates bikes whilst on the track...other YFZ's that is,,,}
.
plus the pit bike bars also fit my pit bike
.
if money wasn't an issue, probably go aftermarket longer stem, with risers and Faast Flex bars
think that'd work _________________ 007257 where are you???.... bring back the Bling |
