it's a free ride and your nominated mechanic also gets free entry, last year the crowd was over 10,000 strong so the more show offs the better lol

Kev how about letting the kids have a go we seem to be well presented in the junior department and the club would be better off with the exposure promoting the kids

besides that the crowed would love it do a dress up super hero's theme

as you know this is a gilbert racing event and as such is controlled by them. discussions regarding the involvement of juniors have taken place and the event organisers have chosen to run only one class of quads... seniors.
i've been asked by gilbert racing to ask those who keep emailing and phoning him suggesting how he should run his events to please stop. this harrasment, if it continues may lead to NO quads at all at monster truck events conducted by gilbert racing, wayville speedway promotions and/or their corporate partners.

you asked me to let the kids have a go ------ it's not my event therefore not my call

the event organisers have been receiving email and telephone contact, from parent/s of our juniors, with the same request. ------------ they have asked me to relay the information on to those people as described above. ie the event organisers are not intending to have juniors ride at this event, and they consider the nature of contacts made, requesting juniors be included, to be harrassing, and they are attributing this action to our club. consequently they consider our club to be harrassing them, due to a few people acting on their own behalf after their own interests. i'm afraid i can't make the statement any clearer, if you need clarification ring me

you may be right, all i can do is relay what gilby has spoken to me about both at the stadium mx at murray bridge and again on the phone last friday. i'm using this forum to convey information as it is described to me, not debate the he said she said . it's a monster truck show, we are the support act. we do as the promoter requests. i am merely conveying his request and that was to advise that gilby was not interested in having juniors at a monster truck show for various reasons, (one being time to run them in a fairly busy program, and the other concern he has is that at monster truck events previously . there has been a "no kids in the pits" policy.)

if you have received information contrary to that from gilby, then you need to tell mark to contact me with the same message, and not feed us both different stories. if you prefer i'll call him and get his response, i'm not phazed either way.


how is that dirty laundry???? i'm amazed that you continue to presume that i'm against you , juniors, or anything related to getting our sport presented appropriately, without actually ever speaking to me other than via this medium on the matter

All the hard work making the Quad club number one in the state can very easily be undone,and this is how that can happen.Don't you think the organisers have not allready looked at all the possibilities for this event and picked the most appropriate ones to have on the night.

Anyone who knows anything about speedway knows its up to the promoter to make his choice on what class to run, dont shoot the messenger because without him u have no event. Gilby wants to put on entertainment not babysit.if people want to watch juniors go to sidewinders,if gilby wants them for promotional reasons. im sure he will call the appropriatre people when required. NOW lets get back to the original post.

in fairness to rotax, i will add the following, and then drop this thread.

we had our phone conversation, and it would appear to me that the bulk of rotax's concern is related to stadium mx. this thread was started for the purpose of generating interest for a monster truck event and rotax has acknowledged to me that it is unfortunate, that wires got a little crossed.

i'm sure we'll all agree that if juniors were included in the stadium mx supp regs it would be an opportunity to promote them as well. and if that happens, it is the decision of the promoter to do so.

For the rider's who have contacted me regarding monster trucks, your names have been registered with the event's administrators and when i get arrival time, and other info i will call you all individually to relay those details as my usage of this forum to convey info is often taken in the wrong context.

Any sponsors willing to cover my phone bill will be appreciated lol
