Well, quad bike OR quad doesn't bother me. Most people who don't ride, figure it out easier when you say a Quad-bike. I get a few funny looks` with " the quad".
Maybe that animated show on SBS confused them first.
Quadricycle or ATV don't really do it for me either.
So I guess that's a no.

I like the "Quad Bike" name.
In Australian the Aussie way we shorten it down to "Quad", well that what I use and every one seems to know what I am on about.
Mind you we havent totaly Aus-ifed it and called them "Quaddies"

i talk about my bike and people think i mean two wheeler. i think ATV is more common in nz than quad. I say i race atv's, you know like on the farm but only the same in the fact they got 4wheels.

certainly avoids any confusion calling them quad bikes. The DSS would be straight onto my brother for riding one of his quads around the yard, and his other three identical daughters wouldn't be impressed either. Arnie used to love blasting his quads in the gym but I'm sure this didn't involve dynamite and a banshee
