Yeah I got mine the other day aswell Dom, I made the extras bit to it was a pretty good movie just not much footage of the quads compared to the bikes.

i got mine last week, got me pumped for next year to do it all again.

just wish we had more exsposure and footage of our top riders and contenders, as this alone is another great battle of finke.

hopefully one day we could have our own class instead of being part of the bikes?

lmao your having a go me. There was heaps of funny stuff at our fuel stop like the 2wheeler crashing into sign/tent . I was going bury him but he survived . I know the film crew got it because he replayed that night to us.

Quads do have there own Class thats why its called Class 9. And Yes Smitty I think that it is the best DVD yet at least we get see some Quads which is better than previous years NIL

we are ATV's not 2 wheelers. it would be really good to be treated as class of its own for such a prestigous event

Narrr, there is nothing better than running with the 2 wheelers and earning some respect.
And we get to experience the awesome Finke Desert Race.

If we had a quad only run, it would probably have to be on a seperate weekend, and that would be crap.
Just another Quad enduro with 60 entrants.

How cool is it gunna be if we ever land a quad in the top 10 bikes.

hey i have no problem racing with them as part of the event, besides there roost off the CR500, will remember my handguards next year.

i also don't mind beating 300 odd 2 wheelers as well, yes thats how we get respect

i just think we should have our own category instead of being a class that is included in the 2 wheelers.

last time i checked we had 4 wheels.

example

80 cars 5 or what ever classes
400 bikes with 8 clases
100 ATV's with 2-3 classes, maybe upto 450cc, open cc and vets open cc

then we will get treated as a category of its own and you watch the battle unfold with the fastest atv home with our own prize money.

everyone i have showed the DVD which is around 20 odd say what a great DVD about the event, but what about the ATV's hardly saw anything about it, who won and how did the ATV class unfold???

surly we have enought entries now to hold our own cateorgy with our own classes that run within the 2 wheeler classes or at the back of the 2 wheeler race

Just be careful there is a push to exclude quads at the moment so don't go ringing anyone . Just let sleeping dogs lie at the moment. lots happening. It will be a win keeping what we have now. Which is a great race.

Quad Riders Racers should be looking at rally clubs . If Finke is what you want to do. Or Dakar is a rally. So why not approach them to see if the events would suit quads .

I agree with this. I think we have enough entries to have 3 quad classes, up to 450, open and quad vets.

Running in the 2 wheeler class with 500 competitors is fine by me.
Sharpens the odds in my favour not to come 500th being lucky enough to finish.
Class 9 – Quads (I loved that one beery)
I think it's all about the EVENT where we get to ride our quad's flat biscuit for 240km, experience FINKE community camping and workshop facilities, then next day ride even faster home for a big presentation night.
Pack up next day or so, go home, do stuff and get ready for next year.
