A 16-year-old boy from The Vines has been killed after a quad bike hit a tree.
The accident happened at around 11.30am near Great Southern Highway and Lakes Road, at Inkpen, about 20km from York.
Police initially thought the crash involved a second quad bike.
“Further investigation by police has identified a quad bike hit a tree,” a police spokesman said.
“The second quad bike was not involved in the crash. The deceased in this crash is a 16 year old boy from The Vines.”

Im not sure if he was wearing a helmet. I would say he was because he was riding next too someone.
They were saying another quad was involved but there was no evidence.
That article was all i could find on the story.

Umm its called the internet - Television - Radio, should try it one day. i dont have a clue about the whole truth of the accident. i was just giving my thoughts.
Why are we debating about some kids death?? i think its rude. i feel sorry for the family.

I never said it was on the internet, paper etc..etc.
he asked the question, since there was no information about him wearing a helmet i gave him my thoughts. Wearing a helmet & Running head first into a tree while on a quad wont necessarily Save you!!
