Well its begun the missus the boy the dog and me finally got away last saturday , 2hours past the planned time of departure but thats the way it goes.
we headed to pt lincoln to see some family for a few days ,all went well except for the dog getting beat up by the rellies dog!!!
We went out on there yacht for an afternoon trying to catch fish with no luck.
wednesday the 10th we set of for sheringa to meet up with craig from qrsa to have a ride on some mammoth dunes and do a bit of fishing , and we did just that first day went
unpack the trailer to get the bike out ,gear up fuel up go ride , the dunes where bigger than i remembered and it took some getting used to how soft they were but i did and had a ball except for the puncture i got on the first ride on brand new set of claws ,lucky i also got a brand new puncture repair kit so it wasnt long till it was fixed.
the weather was crap it would have easy been 40 so that was it for the riding on day one,
Fishing at sheringa is great first cast kg whiting , this went on for some time till a seal came in and scared them all away and the sun went down.
second day was cooler so much more riding was done with me tipping it over 10mtrs from camp (sausage) head i am but no injuries ,must be because i got a first aid kit i spose .
the next two days went by much the same apart from the fishing with waves breaking on the reef out a ways looking to me to be somewhere in the ten foot range making it to hard to feel bites,, so what do two boys do when they are hot and bored and on a shark infested beach ,,grab the body boards and go for a wave ,, i was shitting myself with craig feeling about the same we braved for a good hour or so though and had a ball.
the last day there was one of the funniest of my life heading back along the beach to camp a roost war began and lasted for nearly an hour , i had that much sand through me i would have weighed twice as much as normal ,craig didnt fair to well either .
today we packed up and said our goodbyes , craig heading back home and us off to ceduna where i am now , we plan to stay here for a couple of days then make out way to a place called eucla i think it is 12km over the wa border where we will stay for a night then to norsman for a night or two then esperense where we will stay for a few days so anyone there want to meet someone from the qrsa gang let me know would love to go riding with you , stay tuned more stories to come i just have to wait till they happen

Sounds like you are getting off to a great start Disco.
Hey Bethwyn, any chance you could contact any of your guy's down in Esperance to see if they are keen to take Disco for a dune ride when he get's there. I hear Esperance has some of the best dune riding around?

well we made a slight detour as when we had to wind the clocks back it seemed as if we had extra time so instead of stopping at some dusty crap hole in the middle of nowhere we went the long hall from eucla to kalgoorlie some 900km with a two year old in the back,, it was no easy feat but we did it.
after checking in to the caravan park and putting up the little tent it was straight to the pool for a short lived cooling of as the manager came and kicked us out as it was getting to late ..
Today we went and seen the super pit , a pretty crazy hole in the ground wich seems to have an endless amount of little tiny dump trucks and excavators working in , they are not tiny they are huge , the biggest excavator has a bucket that a d10 bulldozer can park in and the dump trucks tyres are about 3 mtrs tall and cost over 20 grand each.
There seems to be a few bikes getting around mostly along tracks on the side of the road, there is a grey 700 craptor in the caravan park but havnt had a chance to sus him out for ride spots , i probably wont either as its f!@#in hot and i couldnt be bothered trying to get my bike back to white after riding the red dust up here .
tmoz morning we are headed for esperence, i think its about a 400 km so not to bad ,, dave or anyone who is going to talk to dom tell him he should heve came up here for his bus they have ex sta buses for 4 grand .
, i forgot to tell you all bout seeing the daily blast at the super pit after being told it is pretty big and that you can feel it from the caravan park some 3 km away i was looking forward to seeing it from the viewing platform, talk about crap the ground there didnt even shake.
well thats it for this leg more stories soon .

hello to all from esperense w.a.
I really suggest everyone get here for a ride if you can .
I met a guy named dave he rides a honda and says he came 6th in intermediate at the nats last year ,he can ride i believe him.
the dunes are pure white sand and arent that big , biggest hill not even the size of kingston, but jumps jumps jumps everywhere .
we headed out into the dunes and before i knew it he was jumping of graqss mounds across the flats probably 20 feet then landing another 20 or so feet down the face of a dune .
tracks a plenty aswell whoopy windy tight little tracks that remind me of peak but longer and harder .
having not riden for a while , put it this way ive got an 07 yfz that i got in october has only done 5 hours if that and also after having learnt my lesson in the flinders rangers last year about taking it easy and seeing all the track before going flat out i was well of the pace and knackered by the first ten mins of riding.
dave had his girlfriend out ther on a yfz and she was pretty quick aswell i was following her for a while to catch my breath b ut at the pace she was riding i didnt get a chance .
heading back out again tmoz with another guy called george and his daughter wich will be interesting he didnt tell me the bike but he has a 97 rm 250 engine in it so that will be good to see . ill also take the camera this time and send some pics to mick to put up for me till then be safe

hello agian ,thanks for putting up the pics dave ,unfortunately i dony have any more for you yet .
Today i wen for a ride with a bloke called george his daughter and her friend and hamish and his son .
We rode the pink lake dunes that are a bit bigger in area than kingston but not as many hill climbs just tracks everywhere .
the ride started at georges house and we all set of down the road ab out 5 km till we hit the dunes not long into it the two girls had a spill on the banshee but after pulling the bike of the top of them they where ok,so of we went .
we made our way throuygh heaps of tracks some whoopy and technical others flat out in top gear with over crest of camber cornersand some little hill climbs and decents aswell.
we got all the way over to the coast and sat on top of the bigges dune ther that went straight down into the ocean , george went down and after thinking he wasnt going to be able to get back upwent flat out up the big vert cliff wash out at the bottom then flat nackers to one side to get half way up then flat out to the other side to get to the top after seeing his struggle the rest of us decided to give it a miss .
on the way back we took some more tracks and they where much the same fast and slow whoopy and flat but none the less fun , i had a ball and have been inveted to ring whenever for another ride.
thanks have to go out to mick 47 for the contacts again esperence has the big cool cool hows it go excellent from me and i have a funny feeling ill be back here soon till next time pary people dance like there is no one watching f!@k like your on film and most of all love like you have never been loved before

yeah suicide was its name i would have given it a try if it wasnt for the big wash out from the storm that according to george was a ten foot vert wall .
they were telling me abou another nasty hill that isnt a dune in the area somewhere that they reckon they have never seen a quad get up, that sounded interesting but they didnt go there as the track is a bit to hard for his daughter .
the dunes dont look bigger than kingston in my oppinion they are around the same size in parts but i think the biggest hill becides suicide is about that of the biggest at peak ,saying that the tracks where the best sand tracks ive ridden and i cant wait to get out there again .
we leave for albany and margret river on wednesday and will probably spend my 25th birthday on the road as its friday and yes because of me not australia you all get a day of ,, so send your presents and thankyous to the legend @ the castle in somewhere cool thanx disco

ok so no riding but fun still
we are at busselton wich is about 40km north of margaret river and today i went down there to check it out .
about 5 years ago me and my mates were pretty much into body boarding , we used to go evry second day , back then we all said lets go to margarets it will be sick .
well after five long years of not surfing cause of my back injury and cause im slack i went to margarets .
the swell wasnt huge but big enough for me to be worried maybe 5 foot sets, the paddle out nearly killed me as im not the fittest contender , by the time i was out there i was stuffed i had to sit on my board for a good 10 mins to catch my breath ,after that i started trying to get a wave , after a fair while and many attempts i was off weeeeeeee splat crap a big sets coming paddle paddle then smash i was under for a while being smashed around and my poor lungs wanted oxygen real bad ,, i smoke way to much, finnaly i get my head above water only to be greeted by another wall of white water so down i go again .
i finnaly made it back out and had to sit again to get my breath back and to try and stop the cramp in my calf .
i tried and tried to get another wave but either couldnt quit get onto it or was called of by someone in a better position than me , after some time i got one a bit bigger than the last and i got a fair ride out of it , long enough for me to think thats it im taking this one to the shore ,, it didnt i should have paid more attention as i ended up 50mtrs of to the side of the point where i wanted to be so paddle again against the water running of the reef from the waves.
When i finnaly made it to shore carly my wife was there laughing at me telling me how fat and unfit i am ,, so i had fun but its got me beat how i used to go out all day long and not get tired,, tell next time have fun

Heya
we live in Rockingham, Pretty sure the guys are riding at Lancelin Dunes on the weekend, which is about 2 hours north of here... yep they go for the day and back agin.
Coastal Motorcycle Club is on the coast half way between here and Fremantle{about 15mins}

Dazza also lives in Rocko, and frequents this site alot.

Dont forget to get down to the beach, just about on all sides of Rocko Smile no waves here though, Secret Harbour, just Sth is the place to go for a body board.
Hope you enjoy, I shifted to Rockingham when i was 21 and havent left !
