look for one that needs TLC but has all the fruit on it in the US, and import it.

rebuild the motor, paint the chassis, service the shocks etc.

just an idea!

What would something like that cost to import because there seems to be plenty of cheap trikes in the U.S too.

from wha I know it generally cost around $1K to get a quad back here from that states, you need to find someone at the other end who can crate it for you (if the seller wont do it) and also get all the eng/cahssis nubers and do all the customs docs before it gets shipped.

how are you getting it over?

i've found a few overseas, but once you get the owner to get it trucked to the coast to be put on a ship it starts getting expensive.

Have you tried contacting Dom at HustlerATV on this forum. He has imported 250R's from the states before, plus he has a shed full of them, at least he used to have. Give him a yell.

If you are planning on getting one in from the states take a look here if you haven't already, huge for sale section, i'm sure there'd be some 250r's for sale there. http://www.exriders.com/vbb/
