Okay I know this is from an other forum, but show us your quad trailer and how you transport them around the traps, and yes there's an ulterior motive, because I'm thinking about building a enclosed trailer, so I'm after some ideas... I'll start off with the twin one I built.

Here's a pic of the plans for mine.
Deck length 16'
Deck Width 7'2"
Draw Bar 4'
Deck to Roof 5'
I want it to be higher but I won't be able to get it in my roller door. _________________

At the moment its a rolling chassis, just gotta build the top half, coverit over and put a floor in, at this rate I might get it done for the end of next year, So far it's Cost $1200 and I reckon it'll only cost another $1300-$1500 to get it sorted.
Also it has only taken 16hrs to get it to rolling stage, and that was all by myself too. _________________

Dual axles on slipper springs(cheapest option), hydraulic brakes on front axle only.

what? it only took me a couple of hours to whip that up in 3D....
AutoCad take a bit to get used to, I've been usingit for a couple of years and I still don't know all the tricks yet. _________________

 |
|
Hi all,
Here is two pics of my enclosed trailer that i built myself. It took me 6 weekends at most to build it, its 7mtrs long in total and 2 mtrs wide and fits 3 quads if you want, but two with gear comfy. Mechanical disc brakes on overlay axles & no poprivets!. My advice is do your homework - you can get access to alot of gear cheaper than you think.
Cheers
Adrian (if you click on the pics you can see them full page)

Some great trailers here. Anyone built a twin, enclosed with off road in mind? We often drive into the bush for a km or two an make camp. And wondering how these bigger trailers would go on rough dirt road... _________________ Syd, NSW and wanna try MX! |
