Arctic Cat Rum Jungle 9hr

Daryl will ride our Brand New event on His Rath Racing Polaris IRS Outlaw. Jan 30/31 is set for great racing on the outskirts of Darwin . Territory Quad Association has worked hard to put this race together and hope to attract riders form around Australia. Ryan Lancaster,Blake Waldmann and Waldo will keep Daryl Honest.

Arctic Cat have come on board to promote the event. Arctic Cat support racing in Australia and the growth of the sport in General.

Barry from Ozatv will be here as well as a pay tv show called "Destination Polaris". These guys will film the race and do a hunt on Polaris Machinery couple of days after the event.

Outline of the event is 3 x 3hrs races over 35km wooded course. The Middle 3hr race will be held at 5.30pm and run into the night. No swamps = no crocs Juniors will run on a separate course.

Classes Open 4x4 Clubman Women Junior 300 Juniors 90/110

Freight Subsidy $300 is all you will pay to get your quad to Darwin and back from Major capital cities. The rest of the bill is being picked up by our club and our sponsors this would normally cost $1000 to 1500. Freight spots are limited to 30 so be quick. Conditions apply.

All our Sponsors are excited about the event. Arctic cat , Honda , Polaris , Yes Can am , Yamaha , Kawasaki , Ktm , NT Motorsports , Keogh Transport , Orana Lodge , Race Motorcycles , NT Motorcycle centre.

We are still taking on sponsors so just pm me.

This will be True Unique event and I hope everybody enjoys riding with us and most of all has fun.

I will post more details as they come to hand.

Update No 1

I'm currently doing the Regs and Entries Now. All going well I will have them in a week.

Entry will cost $175 + if you need the freight $300 return.

Pay the freight when you enter.

Track length 30-35 kms

It will be a GNCC style race.

The Terrain will be Forest No swamps so will probably suit a race quad more than a 4x4 .

This is a MA event . One day Licences will be available $45

The Time Table
Fri 6pm scrutineering at Precision Motorcycles

Sat 8am Prologue

9.30 am Open 4x4 clubman and pony / Juniors 90 (prologue track about 5km )
1pm Junior 300and women's 3hrs

5.30pm Open 4x4 clubman and Pony

Sunday 9am Junior 300 and women's 3hrs / Junior 90s

12.30pm Open 4x4 clubman and Pony

4.30pm Presentation

It will rain ............ but the rain is warm here Cool

You will need lights and a led rear so we can find you in the dark.

Update 2 Due to Popular demand the women will run the 9hr

Now This means everybody will have to put a Dust light on and carry a CB for safety .. I know Handhelds are against the rules but I will talk to MA today.

Back flip No1 Quad limit will be kept to 850cc for this event. ( Direction from southern states)

The regs are currently at MA so I will change them.

When are the entrys out? Whats the terrain like? How wet will it be? How much to enter? Is it an MA event? Are we running in pitch black darkness? Do we need HID lights?

Since when don't you two turkeys 'just enter anyway' laughing

I figured we can enter now and we've got a few months to work it out.

A bright rear red light that is on constantly. park light not sufficient.
An LED rear brake light permenently on would be best.
A filament type globe would probably blow.

The Finke rules you need 90mm x 90mm or same surface area. So lets go with that. Yes it can be held on by zippy's but needs to come on with the key.

MA is happy to let us Run UHF radios as a safety Item OR carry your Mobile Phone which will work on the whole course. We have a number for you to ring if you go with the phone.

Course will be marked every 5 kms

Huskygoat.

I reckon the 90x90 LED dust light is going to become a standard across a lot of enduro events now.

good work goat, looking forward to a trip to Darwin now....
