Some people are having a discussion.
just pretend; you have heard of a great race you want to go to on the other side of Australia. What would induce you more to get organised for it - $10 000 prize money OR subsidised freight for your bike? _________________ Family is most important.... next is our quads |

i would take either, remeber the 10k would be split up through the classes and prob up to 3rd place.
lets just say it was for the nationals in WA i would rather see the 10,000 go to helping out riders get to the race, remember it has a roll on effect if you can get 30-40 riders at the event because you assisted them to get to the race at say $130 per entrant you would have another $5000 thorugh entry fees.
thats 30-40 more riders to make the race the best possiable.
thats my 2 bob. _________________ 2012 sponsors, Working on it. |

Couldn't agree more. I think in quads racing here prize money only really appeals to whoever thinks they can win; the top 5 guys maybe. Prize money is good but if there was no money but it is a good event they would come anyway. |

With Mildura Flatrack, theres no prize money, you get your entry fee etc.. back at the end of the night so it costs nothing to race and away riders get a kick back for travel at certain events through the year, makes for clean racing and lots of entrys _________________ Has turned to the Dark Side! |

Even if there was prize money there I don't think I would be worrying about it because when I start I am gunna get absolutely smoked. _________________ "If in doubt go flat out"

Yip, spend your money on 10k's worth of entrants any day.
And lever it the other way...
Not at those who win, but 30 or 40 first timers or non-sponsored riders. _________________ Can-Am X Team
