uhh strain of what exactly? motocross?
They seem to be very good frames and don't think i've seen them bend unless in really really bad crashes in which any other frame would have bent anyway. And about endurance or xc, whats the difference haha? |

The DS450s, XC and MX both share the same frames Khyle.
Only the X and XC models run a bash plate for underside protection.
It's not there to add rigidity but i guess it would a bit.
Steering stems an suspension are different.
We have not had any frame failures in Aust unless it was a real big crash (which as said... would kill anything).
If this happens, rivets can be drilled out and new sections bolted in.
Currently some individual frame parts are a bit hard to get, but when the 2010 parts are on the EPC i believe all individual frame parts will be available.
go to epc.brp.com

I dont think you would go wrong with the Can Am 450!! If you can bend it ... you got more to worry about!! (Like your broken sel!! ) _________________ Mikey got 3rd in the Nationals!!

You'll find the part number on the EPC and any dealer can quote.
But i dont think they have ever sold one in Australia.
Like any complete frame... it would be too scarey.
And you wont break every part at once in any crash...
So just replace the odd few parts you might need _________________ Can-Am X Team

I trashed my frame in a head on with a Honda 450 two wheeler. I repaired it as i could not just get the individual parts for the frame. In the next major race the frame broke where I had repaired it. I then bought the only frame that was available in Australia( apparently )! A fellow Can Am racer had a head on with a Yammie 450 Quad at the same race and trashed his frame as well. He is still waiting for a delivery date. I have done some extensive strengthening on the front of mine so hopefully, now that I have gone to the trouble, I wont need it.
A frame at full retail is over $3000.00 _________________ Its not if you win or lose but how you enjoyed the ride! |

as there are getting more DS 450s out there, there are more spare parts, i have a whole frame in parts, that a guy slamed a tree and the frame was a right off, so i got the whole bike and using it for spares for our team and if anybody needs parts. _________________ 2012 sponsors, Working on it. |
