i bought my young guy a 99 pw80 off gumtree for $800 my son sold his 2007 peewee 50 for $1200.00 to pay for it

we looked high and low for good deal then up popped this bike in sydney

we asked the seller is there any thing we need to fix on the bike like what do we need to do to it to make it perfect i asked him

and his answer was

" Nothing ... its never broken down and it starts first kick it even has the original plug in it and ive never had to refill the oil"

so i ask so it hasn had much use then ... and his answer was

" it spends every day inside my sons room and he might ride it each few months for a few hours "

How many owners ....
we bought it new he says

Ok so now my wife and i are thinking this bike sounds pretty good ..

not alot of use Looks totaly clean in the photos "so lets buy it" i say to the wife

ok so the bike arrived Looks awsome looks like its about 5 months old its so clean.... started it up ... yep Fist Kick and then ..... this horrid noise started from the motor ....

we took the bike straight to the mechanic .....

Piston
Rings
Head
Cranshaft
Bearings
pretty much evey thing in the motor is "profanity removed"

and he says its going to cost us a little over $1000 to fix it

says they have never even serviced the thing and were riding it around with no oil

Could have bought a brand new bike from the dealer for $100 more

i hate getting ripped off like that !!!!
Mad

Would have thought he can get a refund Quad.
Thats real bad luck mate, have you tried calling the guy you bought it off, not much you can probably do but still be interesting to see if he still claims it has ran perfectly the whole time he had it.

ps if you cant rebuild a pw80 engine, you cant rebuild anything lol.

thats a very good idea 4 stroker.

its a two stroke so it will be piss easy. and if you do have trouble with it, just put a post up about it or something i'm sure someone would help you... '
and as a advantage, you will know the bike will be perfect as you have replaced everyhing Smile

and those links 4 stroker listed are nice and cheap too Smile.

but it should never have happened in the first place.

good luck with it all.
