A couple of snaps taken during Sunday's ride at one of the local dry river beds.

Yep, she's a big unit and rides over most of the stuff we ride on like it was carpet.. Makes my rappy next to it look like a toy. The guy who owns it has just traded up from a yfz450 and is still getting used to the differences between the two bikes. It's funny to watch him try and ride the big girl like a 450.

Yes laughing laughing laughing

Don't worry, we ride every Sunday morning at places just like this. No dust, plenty of tracks, and a cold sherbert afterwards. It will still be there when your bikes arrive.

Sure is great riding Gav, but green is still more my color. Couldn't you just picture yourself in your bus scooting up and down here all morning mate.

Absolutely mate, Im cutting close to a birth in the family though, my family that is, one due 28th Nov @ 1pm so might be locked out if I go away now!! Laughing Laughing

But a mild new year or Autumn may be excellent if Im not swamped like I am currently.

Im supposed to be taking it easy an Im busier than a blue arsed fly, not getting anything done... Mad Mad

Yep. We used to ride the Yule and the Turner on alternate weekends but there have been issues with access to one of the stations which has effectively closed this down until it is sorted in the courts. We have found that the creeks such as the Tabba Tabba and Petermurra heading up toward Broome are alot wider and longer than either of these two as well. Entering the Tabba Tabba from the Broome road gives you 20 to 30klm of rideable river bed ( we try and stay in the bed cause we hate dust) to the coast one way and 50klm inland the other. We are always looking for different places to ride though and may head down one weekend for a look at Peawah and some of the smaller creeks down your way. I know it's a fair hike but if you are up for a ride, give me a buzz. We ride every Sunday at 8 rain, hail or shine....err I mean shine, shine or shine.

had a look on google earth, and that creek bed you are talking about is huge compared to the yule or any other beds.
