If you search around on the net a bit, the outlanders and renegades have a bit of a problem with the frames bending behind the front differential if you hit a tree fairly hard. The large box tube that runs the length of the bike. There are several solutions to fix this, most of which involve opening up the frame tube from the back and inserting steel or aluminum tubing to reinforce the frame. Here is a custom solution http://allterrainresearch.net/store/can-am-renegade-outlander-chassis-spine-43
My brother has a 2008 Rengade and he rides it a LOT. Never bent the frame, he plows snow with it too in the eastern US. There's nothing 4x4 that can keep up with him, on a dry flat drag I can beat him on my 2004 Predator but not my much. In the mud there's no comparison he wins every time. It rides so smooth and he barely gets stuck, he has 26 or 27' mud lites on it, on his second set already, over 1500 miles on it with no problems.
I'm starting to look for a Renegade as well but I'm a bit sticker shocked at the prices in Australia versus here in the US. I've seen a few decent used ones in Newcastle where I'm moving next month. |

The 800 is a good quad, about the down fall i thinks its how you maintain and use it and also the normal wear and tear. _________________ "Invest with atv parts that are reliable and inexpensive." |
