OK Guys and Gals i have made this subject a sticky so it is always up near the top ,
For any of you that go for a long ride be it an overnight or a weekend trip.
Im sure that most people here would like to see some pics and share some of the stories and info you have in regards to what you done to prepare for your trip , also some of the events of things or troubles that you may have encountered on the way , or even what you would of done different. this can be , even in the likes of what camping accesories you have found to be of good value or use , or even there size and convenience.
I also remember that a few guys, i think the user Outback if i recollect has been on a good long ride for about 6 days ,, i know i would like to know more about it, i love nothing more than to load up the quad and go away and even do an overnighter , and have done so by myself on a few occasions , but i also know the risk involved , riding solo is not something that i encourage. so maybe sometimes group rides can be orgaanised for overnighters or weekenders., i know i would like to share the experiences with a person who has similar ideas of riding and outback adventures
Another thing is , if we have a riding spot , or even a future ride or event that we would like to share and maybe invite others on a overnight ride and or camp out with your quads lets see some chatting amongst us and see what comes about.
Thanks for reading and i am happy to discuss any of your ideas i can be contacted , please feel free to contact me by pm for a contact number or email address _________________ 2012 Can am Outlander Xt 1000cc

Well where to start, we had planned to do a run of 120 k to test out the fuel pac I made, Mmm I will be buying a Koplin fuel pac real soon, It worked out ok if you went in a straight line, but to turn a corner took more room than a double decker bus! To heavy 35kg with the rack, no steering, every time I gave it a bit of gas I was looking at the clouds ( it will make for a good place to keep my fuel Ill hang it on the wall ) That was only the start of the day we rode back to the cars to drop off the extra petrol and next thing I know the Brute was running on one cylinder, what now the only thing I could think of was fuel we had just re fueled at the servo on the way, we had heavy rain the night before and I thought maybe water got into the fuel somehow.Anyway we had to cut the ride short 30k and on the way home I was thinking that we can watch the ride we had on the helmet cam when we got in, Well bugger me the helmet cam didn't turn on properly and we only got a couple of minutes of ride, But the GPS worked fine And that was the extent of our Sunday ride.
The Problem turned out to be a loose earth wire on the starter solenoid !!!
Nice sand tracks.
Crossing the Murray River.
It dosn't matter how you get them there so long as we can go for a ride.
I think they made these tracks just for quads.
The Polaris is still being run in, But it is fast and ever so smooth to watch going down these sand tracks, Can't wait to be in the desert on the quads.

Fox not suprised you were looking at the clouds with 30 kg fuel on the as s of your bike .would of been fun thou .20kg is what we put on our grizzlys but we put them over the back wheels travels ok like that.
on our bikes we get about 10litres/100km depending how you ride .we ride ours pretty hard .
so with a full tank and 10-15 lires of fuel on board you can get 300-350km range . on a full days ride we take a 10litre container .
good pics by the way. _________________ 2008 yamaha grizzly 700EPS /EFI

Fox
If you check out the pics in the show us ya utility quad section you will see a few pics of my old grizzly with all the fuel and water packs on , might give you an idea as to fittment,
On my new grizzly i opted for mounting the fuel and water pack on the side of the rack so as to get the weight further forward , because the racks hang out the back more than the old one _________________ 2012 Can am Outlander Xt 1000cc

Out on our Can ams today we came across this little blondie stuck in her Jeep being the gentleman that we are we offered assistance. Here's a few pics of us setting up to pull her out. We do wear helmets but had them off while digging and setting up oh and making small talk with her.
