| very difficult to handle round a track power comes on too strong, makes it for a very tiring ride. still an awsome bike best bang for buck. |

| Blaster would be a little easier to handle only 200cc banshee 350cc. a little less power than the banshee |

a blaster has no where near the power of a banshee
the blaster i has felt like a little trx90 or something like that compared to a banshee
if you set up a banshee well enough it could be ridden MX
like suspension and handling accesories
my 07 banshee had a very 4 stoke like power band, strong off the bottom and smooth with a little bit of a kick when band comes on _________________ Doin skids for the kids and doughnuts for the grown-ups

simple really a blaster is used to race by juniors from 11 yrs old till 16 and also the raptor 250 now
a banshee can only be used to race in senior classes eg' pro , clubmen , expert , vets and womens and production ...... no seniors use as a 450 is more advanced and more comfy and better use of power for motox
and luke if you think you can get a banshee to go as well around a mx track as a stockish new 450 your kidding yourself as i used to race a banshee on mx they are like comparing a willeys jeep to a cherokee lmao |

way back in 2000 or 01 at the 1st mx nationals in vic , howie and maggot both race banshee's and howie got 1st and maggot 2nd both banshee's , but back then they were racing against smoking 660 raptors and 400ex a 660 raptor got 3rd.
yes todays 450 have easyier power and adjustable shox ,
but you can't buy skills howie was in front by at least 3 corners or more no one could get close to him at all ,his and maggots banshee would of had the least suspension travel on that track ,
banshee's set up right and with the right rider could still be winning some races desert & speedway, but mx would be hard these days. _________________ hustleratv.com.au 0407 797 780

well said hustler!
i dont think theres a better quad for oval-track speedway and the longer flat tracks, but for some of the shorter flat tracks you would be better off on a big hp 450 or raptor. _________________ 2002 SE Banshee |

My banshee took some beating on the weekends speedway, finished 1st in heat 1 and 2 and was going for 1st in the 3rd race when I looped out, when i get a clear run its faster than a 450 4 poker, just not as easy to get off the line or work through the field. I prefer the 2 stroke power to the 4 strokes _________________ Has turned to the Dark Side! |

US Pro racer Doug Ichner ran a banshee in open class MX in a sea of big bore Honda 250R's for many years. He has many open pro class championships because of a Banshee.
They need more setting up but can still be fully competetive even today. _________________ When I'm racing I'm living..... everything else is just waiting. |

the one, main thing i notice on my banshee wen racing mates on 4 strokes is coming out of corners, it just wants to slide!! you lose control and grip. i wouldnt like to ride it mx unless i done ALOT of work on the handling/power side of things. power band comes on to hard, needs a heavier flywheel or somthing to tame it!! _________________ 2000 YAMAHA BANSHEE. |

More compression and power valve barrels fix this. _________________ When I'm racing I'm living..... everything else is just waiting. |

This one raced the flat track at Clermont recently, no four stroke could even come close....

Last years Qld quad titles had a 2 stroke class and I'm pretty sure there in the supp regs again for the upcoming titles 31st Oct/1st Nov..... _________________ 10 LTR 555 Dingo

Cut the crap guy's if the Banshee's were that good I am sure the Americans would have a Champion on one now.
The only reason you fella's ride one is you could not afford a new 4 stroke so crap on all you like
Yes they with a lot of work go like the clappers but they would not last a 20 min +1 lap race on the wood.
They like the GTHO and Monaro where legends but they have had their day so stop dreaming |

woah
calm down, the banshee hasnt changed in 20 years and for them to be still being produced has to say they still offer something to the atv market.
and your right, but i would still take the monaro over that hybrid toyota prius you have in your driveway

I would like to know how you can make a statement like that, you know absolutly "profanity removed" all about me or my financial position. Cant afford a 4 stroke hey, but I have a well setup and profitable Auto Elec Bussiness and could walk in a buy a new bike with all the "profanity removed" on it if i wanted, the fact is the bike I ride is what I like. _________________ Has turned to the Dark Side! |
