the days of banshee racing motor cross is now a dieing bread mainly because of the wait an you dont have the throttle control like the 4 stroke an not enought travel in the rear shock an being two stroke.i raced my banshee last year taking out the clubman in every race just about in S.A they mainly use them now for the dunes or speedway an recreational rideing 4 stroke is what you realy want to be on iff racing hope that may help _________________ All Thanks to=

G'day mate, there is nothing (that I am aware of) that stops you racing your banchee in any club run or open event that you want to, as long as you fit the age requirements to ride as a senior, ie +16yrs. So, you would start in the Clubman class and from there you can progress into intermediates and then Pros. You will always be racing against mostly 450's, but who cares as long as you are having fun. I can almost guarrentee that you won't come last just because your bike is a 350. There is nearly always someone faster and someone slower.
We race all over the place and you are right, theres not too many banchees, in the 3 years we have been racing, I reckon I have only come up against 1 banchee which was nationals this year in SA. Have done quite a few enduros though where there are banchees.
So, don't worry about the fact that you have a bike that is different, just get into it. Its great fun.
Not sure where you live, but on the 8th Nov there is a "come try day" for quads only organised at Wanneroo Junior MX club. It is a senior and junior day and is only $30 to ride for the day on a MX track, this includes all your MWA licence etc so is a great way to try before you buy.
PM me if you like, and I would be happy to chat and give you more details.
Other than that, keep an eye out here, as more details of the come try day will be published very soon, hopefully by the end of this week.
Cheers
