|
Hey all, Whilist test riding my mates new 700 raptor he happened to roll my YFZ 450.
The problem is kind of hard to explain. When I turn the bars left and right there is a notch in the steering. Kind of like when u over tighten a nut. It gets tight then u go the bit to far and it pops over the tread and becomes easy to turn again........ It happens at the same point on either side.
eg turn the bars from center to left, about 1/4 turn to full left lock then clunk.
Turn bars right from center then 1/4 of the way, same again.
It only happens when turning outward not turning bars back to center.
I'm guessing the stem has moved up a few mm as there is a visible grease line around the stem at the top steering stem mount.
Any advise would be really appreciated. |

| Will be swapping out tie rod ends to see if that makes a difference. |

Changed tie rod ends, no change.
The stem appears to move uneven in the top guide. Maybe the stem is bent??????
Ideas anyone PLEASE??????? |
