I use a dual gasser type from jmc. Don't use twist throttle much but it comes in handy. _________________ 08 RAPTOR 700 |

As Mart and qOD said, Ive got a bad hand so I use both, Thumb in the tight/rough stuff and Twist on the fast free flowing stuff. _________________ Has turned to the Dark Side! |

The Terry cable dual gasser has a plastic throttle tube and jmc racing's gasser has a billet throttle tube i think thats the only difference between the two. _________________ 08 RAPTOR 700 |

Thumb all the way ... like siad above, because the twist is not safe on a quad ...
If your thumb gets sore, try put a peice of hose pipe on it, long enough to reach into the palm of your hand ... then when it is sore, you can use the hand. Plus, there is a little give on the throtel when you his the bumps ... _________________ Mikey got 3rd in the Nationals!!

| How is it not safe ??? It all comes down to what you feel comfortable/confident with if your getting sore I'd get the dual gasser set up that way you can chop and change to suit. I race with a twist and have done with thumb also. I find that all soreness in my hands comes down to being too tense try to relax on the bike it helped me heaps |

When you going round a bend and you may be leaning off the side of the quad, if you slip a little you may pull the twist open. At that stage you may have to let go of the throtal, thus letting go of the bars, thus falling off the quad ...
That is basically why quads have thumbs'.
Basically on a half quad (2-wheeler) you are usuall always above the bars ... if you see what I am trying tosay ... _________________ Mikey got 3rd in the Nationals!!

Dont use a twist throttle.........it'll get ya sister pregnant and kill ya dog! Thumb throttle people seem to be dooms dayers.
I use a twisty and all the "problems" I hear about I have never had an issue with. It's all personal preference.
