 |
|
Hi all, im about to fit a new GYTR muffler to my Raptor 700 and ive been told to also get a new fuel controller to suit the new muffler. Few questions, whats the best fuel controller? Maybe Power Commander III? Are they easy to fit myself or is it better to get the bike shop to do it? And what sort of price shold i expect? Also what sort of power gains would i get with the new pipe and controller?
Thanks in advance _________________ "2009" Raptor 700 |

go the power comander /dyno jet 3 you can fit it but get the bike shop to tune it .. if you have got the pipe get a filter and comp at the same tme and have it all tuned to suit that set up all at once. .. it makes a big diffrence once all the pipe filter and comp is fitted , its well worth the money spent. i would say the dyno juet comp is aprox $600 filter with adaptor and outerwere $250 to $300 ?? _________________ Sponsors ,Cullys Yamaha,Pirtek Malaga

Make sure you go with a full set of headers and muffler.
all done should see 10-12 HP difference , night and day in real terms....you would not regret it.
If you are a competant home mechanic the PC111 instructions are easy to follow and takes about an hour to do incl stripping away the plastics , and tank etc ...... Its not difficult.
2 Hrs incl headers and muffler remove and fit.
You can even change the programme on your laptop with ease , others here would have a suitable map and then you dont need a dyno. I have used maps form my teco in New Zealand and he simply emaild them to me and i downloaded them , they worked better than local tuners here could get happening . ( Sorry i dont have them anymore or I would send to you) .
Good luck. _________________ It's time too ride !!!!!!! |
