| Newbie looking to get into a few different desert races to work my way up into entering the finke desert race one day but cant find any infomation on entry forms and conditions wondering if anyone can help ??? Just want to know dates cost and if there's a stock class etc ?? cheers |

in regards to TP300 anyone can enter it but not everyone can finish it  Micks a very twisted man.

welcome to oz atv mate.
You have done the first right step - by getting on here and asking questions. The only dumb question is the one not asked.
Most events have web sites which should have all the details - if not then post a thread here asking for info. if you don't want to post - use the pm system to contact people who might know - most are happy to help.
I highly recommend the Finke desert race - it has atmosphere you wont get anywhere (except maybe the masters games held in Alice Springs). This year I knew of 10 quads who completed it for the first time. These riders were pleased they went and very happy to have made it there and back on their first try. Some of these riders were very new to racing.
What sort of bike you got?

Watch out when your lapping me. It will be good though i've been waiting for ages. Only 6 months exactly untill I turn 16. Just have enough time to get fit for it and practiced up.

Dude if you're going to turn 16... getting fit shouldn't be a big issue
Just take a look at some of the other athletes out there
Some people like dangerman4 enter events like this with massive disabilities... like...
They make him ride a standard type quad with less than 150hp
You're a local boy too.
Gotta keep an eye on those young gun locals!

Buzz gave me his plaque in 2008 anyway because he said I did more riding in the training thing then he did in the race. Still got it up on my wall at the moment.
Dangerman I will really try to finish. Might have to see when it gets a bit closer about finding a team mate if I don't think I'll be able to make it by myself. Would really like to have a crack at ironman (or ironboy in my case) though. I know a bloke with alot of wheat property that I have permission to ride on so me and a mate are going to make a practice enduro in there to get more practice. I'll leave him though caus he only has 2 wheels and 150cc's.
