Hey there, anyone got an idea of what a 2001 banshee twin 2stroke would be worth? Also, It has an oil leak problem from the gearbox but can seem to find the problem any ideas? Cheers

too many variables...

what condition is it in, what mods if any?

are you sure that its gearbox oil that its leaking? wheres it coming from, right side, front of engine etc?

if its in good nick and has pipes and a few other mods etc its worth up to $5000.

if its rough and needs the engine split to fix the leak its worth anywhere between $2000 - 3000

Thanks heaps at least that gives me a rough figure to work off. All round are banshees a good bike? Not to many problems with them if they are looked after?

They are the best bike but always have to look after them, in some cases ive seen them to be worse than women and need more maintenance, but the good thing about it is you can do it all yourself laughing laughing

if you keep them relatively stock and tuned correctly they last forever and require alot less maintenance than a 4 stroke.

my banshee is 7 years old and still on stock bore. ive seen another banshee with nearly 300 hours on stock rings, never had a spanner on it except to change the gearbox oil and clean the air filter.

X2 my 07 was a spoilt bitch hahaha

washed, polished the shiny bits, waxed the plastics,wd-40'ed the motor and moving bits, clean the air filter and kept under a cover on a bike stand in the shed......and that was after EVERY ride...even a lap around the back yard eek

other than that fresh plugs, grease the A-Arms and swingarm linkages, clean the carb out, change the gearbox oil every 30 hours and fresh fuel if it hadnt been ridden for a couple of days

thats how i look after my bikes
