I will basically be a flat bed trailer running 14 inch rims that the tray will cover. Not quite sure on the exact dimensions yet as I am waiting to pick up my Rhino 700. But in theory I want to be albe to side load this as well as my yfz450, my banshee and my sons suzuki 50 so thinking that it will have to be a tandem axle job. Also looking at a 60lt water tank underneath and some where to put a toolbox for gear and other stuff.
I am going to try and keep the centre of gravity low so it tows well. The ramps will be stored underneath and will be able to be used on anyside of the trailer. I have done some basic drawings up in CAD but are waiting to confirm measurements.
Will post some pics once I have started.

Sounds like a heck of a lot of real -estate! Whats your tow vehicle?.
I had a tandem 8x5 to pik mine up and it over lapped length wise by a couple of inches and had about 4 to spare on the width only. My tow vehicle was a Jeep Wrangler Auto which coped just fine transmission wise but the fuel economy went to the toilet hugely! Gotta change that.
Also the towed it to my bro-in-laws with a Mazde Tribute and it absolute killed the Wrangler for economy and went just as well but obviously is not an off road car and thats where I want to go.
Ultimately I want to have a camper trailer that can take it but I have a few idea's and maybe even an off the shelf product but I'll keep my mind open for the moment as I have absolutely no-where to put it.
Love to see your pics as they come out. Ive done 3 CAD courses all on different software and havent used any professionally so I I would like to do some CAD but I need a program some training and to put some serious hours in on it toe get it going. Can go better manually atm. _________________ www.asho.com.au for your shooting and outdoor needs

Hey mate - tow vehicle is a V8 100 series sahara or a TD SR5 lux. Currently have a tri axle trailer which can fit 6 full size quads but is an over kill.

I've gto some ACAD drawings of my trailer (yes the one that will never be finished) adn am happy to share some knowledge with you geeman, there is also a program called sketch up which is a free cad program that is not too bad and you can import and export real cad files from it. _________________

I'm building a 4M x 2M flat top tandam that has 4 draws that side out from under tray top with fuel and water tanks. The latest idea is to make the tray top fold onto ground and open up a camper trailer full lenght, so basically a 4M x 4M tent split into 4M x 2M bedding and 4m x 2M of hard floor living area.
Only got steel frame and draws at the moment but i'm getting there( the missus wishes it gets there quicker) but what can u do with only 24hrs in a day |
