Thanks all for the congrats.
What a race.
It might have taken a different slant if the rained out day was not cancelled, because 4x4 Renegades do alright in the muddy stuff.
But I had my good fortune too.
We all had unpredictable highs and lows, and anyones race could have ended at any time.
Well done to Maggots.
A well paced race there mate.
And a massive thanks to the X Team support Crew, Especially Colin Lawson from Extreme Motorcycles, Atherton.
That guy is without any doubt, the Renegade Master, and I would never have got where I did without our team.
Watch out next year.....

Hey guys thanks for all the well wishes on this and other post around the site.
What a race!!!!!! The Safari is now my number 1 on my events calender without doubt. Well done to all the other finishers Maggotts, Bullet and Linc they all done well just to finish the event.
The best thing about Safari is that it is a real team race. If you do not work as a team you wont get far. The guy with the helmet on may do the riding but if he dosn't work together well with his crew and give them as much info as he can then all is lost. There is no way Bullet Linc or I would of finished Safari if we did not work as well as we did with our crew of Pete, Col, Chuckles and Mick. I think Maggotts will back me up on this aswell he had a great crew too.
I can't wait for next years race as we learnt so much from this year.
Anyone even thinking about doing Safari please do it. As I loved every bit of it

Yeah smitty, the crew was brilliant. They made sure I had nothing to worry about. The guys really had thier stuff together. I could not have asked for more.
