We need your support at the chelmsford hotel Kurri next wednsday night at 7:30pm 5th aug.(At roundabout across from police station)
As most of you are unaware we have approached the kurri kurri mx club to build a drag strip and also another place where quads and trikes can legally race , there is already a speedway track and a loop trail.If some good numbers turn out for there monthly meeting it will look good in our favour.
Hope to see you there ..Who no's Zack at Explosive will buy you a beer!

are they considering other aspects of the sport with quads aswell?

They have heaps of land and are looking at an open quarrie on there entrance road for an mx track I think it is there overall goal for the club.
I think the best thing we can all do is turn up and let them no we are all interested and give them our thoughts for quads in the future to be appart of there club.
How cool would it be to have a supercross track here in newcastle.
They certainly have the land ,insurance already in place all we need is permission.
Whos comming ???

Went ok. They seem like a good bunch of guys. There wasnt any great progress made but if your looking for somewhere to ride for $50 a year theres an enduro loop and an old speedway track. The clubs got a few land issues and legal problems it seems at the moment too. Ash knows more, he did most of the talking and listening, i was too busy drinking beer!

Yeah that seem like a nice bunch of guys,
There is no formal racing, and never has been due to legal and insurance issues
They do welcome Quads and Trikes to ride on there existing tracks
There is a bunch of legal issues that prevent a new purpose built Quad/Trike drag strip being built, Although most members of the club loved the idea
Once they get there land problems fixed, I think they will accommodate drag racing, and have other tracks built for bikes , Trikes and Quads to chew up,
We did say there would be a good number of people interested in running from the quad riders, there if they could get tracks built, or more to the point, be allowed to make new tracks
Seems they have heard it before, as far as many quad riders using their tracks, as the numbers don't attend,
This is were Quad riders need to attend such meeting if they can, and get behind such attempts for secure legal riding areas in Australia,
A club membership will be a hell of a lot cheaper that rec rego on the beach for a year, even better when that club will cater for many areas of Quad riding, Drags, MX, speedway
There are some good people behind this push, we need to support them
Other clubs and tracks in the Newcastle area will be approached shortly that may not have land or insurance dilemmas'

| hi guys was chatting to a offical member yesty at K K MX and was told there will be no chance of a track for us quad and trike riders at all....they DO NOT have the saftey qualifacations needed....ie track/fencing that is required which was due to the chappy killed at tamworth sometime last year.....what a bummer |
