Because the Banshee is the greatest Quad ever made I wana see some pics of other Peoples Banshees from around Australia, so post some pics.

sure does, rode it on Saturday but i forgot to adjust the PV cables, so it wasnt opening the PV's very far. had awsome bottom end with the PT mids. i am going out this afternoon after i fixed a few minor details!

The engine and chassis # say its an 02 and Blue in colour, Sold in a yamaha dealer in Adelaide in 03, Im not the original owner so they could have swaped plastics???? A few people have asked that

It got the better of me 4stroker, I rang the yamaha dealer in Mildura again, the banshee is a 98 model as you said, It was 1st sold in 98 and resold through the same dealer in 02, the dumb sh!t behind the parts counter looked at the wrong dates on the computer and told me. I should have 2nd gussed them the first time I rang beacause they didnt even know a banshee ran 2 carbys!! is there anything you dont know about Banshee's?

ha the gold rims gave it away mate!

here is how to tell the year of your banshee:

VIN Numbers, stamped in the frame on the lower left rail, under the left side case/ignition cover.

Below is how to tell the year of your bike going by the frame VIN, you want to look at the 10th digit on the frame and compare from there.

H – 1987
I – not used
J – 1988
K – 1989
L – 1990
M – 1991
N – 1992
O – not used
P – 1993
Q – not used
R – 1994
S – 1995
T – 1996
U – not used
V – 1997
W – 1998
X – 1999
Y – 2000
Z – not used

Beginning with 2001, numbers are used to designate the model year.

1 – 2001
2 – 2002
3 – 2003
4 – 2004
5 – 2005
6 – 2006
7 – 2007
8 – 2008
9 -- 2009

Back to letters apparently:

A - 2010
B - 2011
C - 2012
D - 2013
etc.

Now this is how you tell what year your engine is: only have it up until 99 for some reason.

yeah thats it, any 1 thats ever owned a Shee post a pic of it so we can all see what a lot of Quad riders started off riding.

My 07 Banshee had dead stock motor the only thing I changed was 290 main jets, Bills pipes, K&N filter and running at 32:1

I also had a laeger's Long travel 'A' arms and LT ELKA front shox.
rear end was stock suspension just had a lonestar axle.

It also had Flexx bars, Dual gasser and 15/40 gearing

This bike had no more then 10hours on it from new so I was fairly confident it would make the distance. Just wasnt sure about the fuel.
I did stop at all 3 club fuel stops but I didnt have to switch to reserve at any time with the stock tank.

didn't know that those guys from NSW could jump i thought thats why Mr roycroft comes down and races in vic cause they have jumps on there tracks and lots of them
