hey there everyone , names jason from tassie. havent really posted much on here before
i own a 2004 banshee just trail ride it with mates
bills pipes. is about the only mod.. other then bars etc.
i brought its for a bargin price , had a bent frame in the front end. and was missing alot of parts...
ive recnetly brought a 01 frame and thought id share some build pics . ive modded a few things as i like to fabricate all my own bits that i can..
new orange ripple powder coat and black epoxy spray for the rest of it. will be the colours
. and have fitted a fmf jet kit(280 main) which i brought from the states whilst i was over there for $10 in a bargin bin, lol and repacked the mufflers.
i brought new bearings and seals for ... steering stem, front wheels, rear axle, swing arm, a-arm bushes., rear linkage. off ebay. they should be here next week.
the plastics are a little shabby but they can wait for the moment..
here are some pics ..
when i first brought it
new rear skid plate
bash plate and nerfs i made up.
front bar in the making
damage to front end...(left side) one set of a arms were roughly 15mm back further then the other side. still rideable
new frame 2001 model. smoothed over readdy for powdercoat.
bottom a arm plates... made from 4mm aluminium plate and stainless clamps.
top arms i plated in and ive bent quiet a few... not sure how its going to do but should help..... 3mm steel plates stiched on top.

i should add that all the bits ive made to date havent cost me a cent.(boilermaker/welder by trade )
so i know they are rough but hey they only cost the time taken to make them. |

what sort of riding are you going to do?
Perhaps you should join up with Paul who rode the Banshee in this years finke.....

| Where abouts in tassie do u live. theres heaps of us up on the north west coast that go riding nearly every weekend. We all going out to bakers beach on sunday for a ride. |
