Is repairing atv tires an option?I had a small punctute mark 2-3mm long on arear tyre which i plugged on the trail with an external plug.It still had a slow leak so I took it to the local tyre joint who patched it internally. He said repairs on this type of tyre are rarely succesfull .It now leaks worse than my original repairs. It is not a sidewall injury.
What are your views is he full of crap or do I just bite the bullet and buy a new tyre. _________________ I am old and wise because i survived young and stupid |

Can't you just put a tube in it ? _________________ The term "Foolproof" seriously underestimates the ingenuity of Fools.

Yeah i can but if i get another one i can't even patch with an external plug and ya whole day is stuffed. The plug i fitted last time back at the car salvaged the day. _________________ I am old and wise because i survived young and stupid |

| There are the odd person who do tyre welding but finding someone is the problem. As Dave said just fill it with plugs, Maggots had about a 30mm side wall tear in a rear tyre in a 24hr race a few years back and ran for over 18hr straight with it plugged. |

tubes in sports atv tyres hardly work as tyre spins on rims and tears the valve off i know tried it with 4 tubes on a banshee till i gave up and got new tyre haha so either plug it or buy a newie as tubes dont cut it _________________ black covered in 5.7 powered oversize quad

I used a tube in one of my rear tires. But it was on a beandlock so thats why it didnt spin on the rim like you said OZ450 _________________ Mic
