I thought I read somewhere you can only use bumpers with smooth corners for racing? Is this correct? Will this bumper pass? I only race in QLD

Easy rule of thumb - if it's got any pointy corners you can't use it, might hurt someone with the edges Rolls eyes , forget about what the quad that it's attached to will do to them!

Pardon my ignorance, but does this rule apply in the USA?

Always seemed strange when this rule came in, we're allowed to have bear traps for footpegs but get all prissy about bumpers?

If your going to race in the USA then check thier sites out for approval or not, if your racing within Australia then Australian Rules apply?

Pro riders raced two years ago with them in the US then all of a sudden they were not seen on the bikes. Remember we dont comply with USA and whether they are in there or not means nothing here in Australia

As for the foot pegs, they are not an open item on a bike in a position to slam into some-one, it would take an extreme accident for a foot peg to dislodge and be embedded into some-ones body, whereas a pointy bumper on the front of a bike, mid air lands into the back of another rider - well wouldn't you think that is a bit dangerous, sorry but I think so and on several occassions we have witnessed riders over jumping and landing on the back of other bikes and thier riders - this is something that will not decrease thus the safety of all riders must be thought off.

This arguement comes up and will always raise its head, buy the bumper, but in MX it is not allowed and thus removal is requested. As for other Disciplines thats in the GCR's under which ever one you choose to ride in.

Just my thoughts
