Hi all just noticed my axle bearings are rooted. Well one side is. The bearing has destroyed itself and only the bearing case is left to remove.Tried removing it with long flat screw driver but with no luck any ideas?

get it real hot and try again, if you can get hold of a bearing puller big enough you may get it with that.
have you got the other side out?

another trick for getting them out is welding a bit of steel to the bearing race so there is something to drive it out with, with a punch from the other side.

Also try putting it in the deep freeze if you can, the cold shrinks the metal and makes it easyer to remove, its also good for fitting the bearings too

was stuck in the carrier. Result was to weld a bead around the bearing to heat up and distort case.
Out now.

Well done pete w you are the winner
