| Has anyone put a kill switch on their raptor, i've heard it can be a problem with all the electrics/computer etc etc?? |

| my brother and his two mates have all had kill switches put on their bikes('03 + '05 660's)by the dealer where they bought the switch with no electrical problems |

we did ours (the one's hippy's referring to) by hooking up to the +ve of the coil. Short out the coil and the bike stops. We don't have a whole lot of electronics in ours though unlike yours  |

Just did mine. I connected the orange wire on my coil, with the white wire on my kill switch and the other wire (black) on my kill switch to earth (body). Works ok. Mine is a 09 700 Raptor

this is not a good idea on a raptor 700, if you pull the lanyard and leave the ignition on it will fry the coil, it has constant battery supply to the coil with the ignition on.
the kill switch needs to go to the wires for the crank angle sensor

Yer i can see what your saying. I only would pull the lanyard out if i have a fall. Any other time i shut the quad of the normal way. But i might have to look into changing it. Thanks.
Q. Would the coil fry if i leave the key turned on for a long time, even if i didnt have a killswitch wired in.

no it will not, the coil is controled by the ecu. I know you say you never turn it off by the lanyard, but one day someone will pull the lanyard and leave the igition on, then it will be spend some money on a new coil
