A mate of mine has a green 3 wheeler in his shed, looks like a 250ish 2 stroke motor in it, its covered in stuff so I cant get a decent look at it, looks pretty old, any ideas on what it might be and would it be worth doing up to ride, thanks _________________ Has turned to the Dark Side! |

Green 2 stroke is more than likely a Kawasaki Tecate. There pretty rare, some guy in WA is asking $4k for his and its got bits broken on it. All trikes are worth saving. See if you can get some pics of it. _________________

There are only two types of Tecates. All two stoke, all liquid cooled, all very fast when running right.
84, 85 models radiator mounted onto the triple trees (I would love to find one of these in Australia)
86,87 models radiators mounted in the conventional frame position.(never sold here from new, but a few were imported)
If its air cooled, and 250cc Its a KLT four stoke (AG Bike) and not a Tecate. KLT's are Very cool in a retro weird out there way though, leading link front suspension, hard tail, manual clutch and differential. Like I said out there! _________________ State governments give us REC rego + area to ride ATVs legaly! State Status: VIC-No (Nazi's) QLD-Yes(no place to ride tho) NT-? NSW-Yes, Stockton. Kawasaki never did a 300cc trike. There were some US only trikes that had 360cc lowspeed industrial motors pumping out about 16HP, but they weren't Kawasaki trikes per say.
I think you'll find that its a 200 or a 250cc rig. _________________ State governments give us REC rego + area to ride ATVs legaly! State Status: VIC-No (Nazi's) QLD-Yes(no place to ride tho) NT-?
